Puzzle Bobble Game is one of the most popular video games in the world. It is well known around the world by nearly every platform user as it is one of these addictive games that you can spend hours in front of it without getting bored.
The roots of this game extend back to the early 1980s when it was first launched under the name "Bobble Bobble", at that time it was an arcade game played through the coin operated machines. It was considered a revolution in the video game industry and it attracted thousands of players to practice this addictive game.

Puzzle Bobble was launched by Taito Corporation in 1994. Taito Corporation is a Japanese software and hardware publishing company that started as Taito Trading Corporation back in the mid 50s of the last century. By the year 1973, they started importing Video arcade games from America which was coin operated and started leasing them in Japan.
Soon, they started developing their own games and published it in Japan too. With the beginnings of the 80s they opened their branch in North America in Wheeling, Illinois.
This branch was responsible for developing games for the American Market as well as exporting American games to be sold in Japan. The company did well in this new venue and expanded to publish third party games too as well as launching different hardware consoles. In the 1990s, they started publishing video games for home computers and home game consoles with a full range of games.

Puzzle Bobble Game is featuring a rectangular battlefield where you have a cannon on the lower side. Your primary mission is to shoot Bobbles from your cannon toward the other Bobbles hanged to the upper side of the battlefield. When you compose a group of three or more Bobbles from the same color, they burst.
In order to move to the next level you need to finish all the existing Bobbles and to make it little bit harder, you have to deal with two other things.

The first thing is that the upper side of the battle field moves down according to time intervals, giving you less chance to finish all the Bobbles. If the hanged Bobbles reach the ground then the game is over. The second thing that you need to deal with is the enemies trapped in some of these Bobbles.
If the Bobbles are left too long, the enemies may get unleashed and start attacking you. Obviously, you can hit them with the Bobbles of your cannon.

The game is very simple and that what made it addictive in the first place, even though thousands of games were released since that date but Puzzle Bobble is still getting recognition until now. although it was first published in 1994, it is still published nowadays for the newest platforms like Xbox, Wii and Play Station 2.
The first edition of the Puzzle Bobble was very simple and contained two mascot dinosaurs, Bub and Bob, also the music track was of Japanese spirit and its tempo increases with the level you are playing.
Before the end of 1994 a newer version was released with a stereo sound and better graphics and since that date newer versions were hitting the market under the same name but with different story lines featuring underwater world, space world and many other scenarios.
Puzzle Bobble is one of the most known games and recently it was published among the legendry arcade games of Taito company in their Wii and Xbox version.
